The boutique brewery Nogne - Det Kompromissolse Bryggeri, situated within the capital of scotland- Grimstad, was granted the
Champion Exhibitor trophy, along with the Champion Small Brewery award in a dinner in Melbourne on Thursday.

Australian breweries guaranteed four honours. Last year’s Champion Exhibitor champion, Feral Brewing, was granted the Champion Ale. NSW breweries Hunter Beer Company and Redoak capped the Champion Porter and Champion Low Alcohol Beer groups, correspondingly.

Knowing panel chairman Peter Manders stated the 30 idol judges were very impressed using the 1170 ales they sampled within the two days from the competition.

Records incorporated a smoked chilli beer, a wooded cherry ale along with a 32 percent alcohol Scottish brew, known as the Tactical Nuclear Penguin.

‘‘Now recognised on the global stage because the pre-eminent showcase for premium beer and brewing excellence within the Asia Off-shore region, the worldwide dominance hasn't be an unexpected, [once we are] receiving increasingly more high calibre worldwide records every year, ’’ Mr Manders stated.

Although not every category created a beer worth an award.

The gluten-free beer trophy was introduced this season, however the idol judges felt no 12 ales produced from items for example grain, millet and sorghum was to the panel’s standards.

The honours are carried out yearly through the Royal Farming Society of Victoria and also the College of Ballarat.
