Norway’s second-biggest city, Bergen is situated around the west coast, and is a well-liked base for site visitors going through the country’s famous fjords – lengthy, narrow stretches water outlined by steep coves (this may not seem much, but they are really spectacular). The town is encircled by mountain tops (generating it the nickname ‘the town of seven mountains’), making Bergen ideal for hiking in summer time and skiing or sledging in the winter months.

In addition to being ‘The Gateway towards the Fjords’, Bergen is a beautiful seaside city, using its historic harbor area, Bryggen, incorporated around the UNESCO World Heritage list. Chilling out by the pool is another popular summer time activity, with clean, fresh and comparatively warm waters and lots of sandy beaches.
