Thanks for visiting the Norwegian Program in the College of North Dakota! Appreciate going to our page and being familiar with our program. Norwegian classes at UND permit one-on-one learning, giving students the chance to operate carefully with faculty. Like a bonus, loudspeakers fluent in Norwegian can generally read and understand Swedish and Danish with little difficulty, growing understanding and appreciation for the whole Nordic region. Hot research fields in Norwegian include oil studies, alternative energy, computing, marine biology and fisheries, shipping, arctic research, peace research, architecture, design, and gender studies.
Learn Norwegian ONLINE
The month of january 2011 marked the inaugural launch in our online beginning Norwegian course, NORW 101. The whole newbie is going to be offered online inside a two semester package of NORW 101 and 102. These opening language courses provide students using the tools to make use of norsk like a listener, speaker, readers, and author in everyday situations. Additionally to growing students’ understanding from the Norwegian language, another objective of the program would be to strengthen students’ capability to assess, interpret, and discuss Norwegian on the global scale. Asynchronous courses that may match any schedule, we make use of a textbook targeted for American language students.
NB! Registration for Fall 2015 courses have closed. Watch out for Spring 2016 course registration to spread out in November 2015 .
